Once there is a rush of thoughts flowed by our deep heart. It could be an unknown intuition, a kind of feeling or a melody deep in our heart. We all wish to break the regulated rules, but accidentally we just fall in the traps of other rules and systems. Trilogy of Surge, Flow and Son of the Wind: the improvisational collection composed by Chia-Chen Chiang is a gift that comes from our inexpressible heart. It is selected and edited deliberately from a piano performance which lasts for several hours in weekends, and we hope to share this pure love with you and to make your feelings fly above the sky.

Improvisation is a kind of instinct. A person and a piano are all that's needed to create a world. But although old-school instruction can provide a foundation of basic technique, it cannot determine one's inner creative intention. When every note and pause comes from deep inside at that moment, a song of life will rush forth from the musician. I invite you to follow the music, embrace your self, allow yourself to be carried along on the flowing emotions, release the instinctive impressions in your heart, and become more and more free.
